Solar metering setup involves installing a bi-directional (import/export) meter that measures both the energy your premises draws from the grid and the excess solar energy exported back to it. Standard accumulation meters cannot record export — they must be replaced before a solar system can be connected to the grid and feed-in tariff credits applied.
